A Murder Most Fowl
A downloadable game for Windows
A short game submitted for the 2024 Who Killed HawkZombie!? game jam!
Hawk Zombie's been murdered and his body's been dumped in the cemetery. As Crowley "Crow" Cawman and Gully McSeagullson, it'll be your task to uncover evidence and clues to help you solve this heinous crime. But the task won't be easy. There's no clue to a murder weapon or even a suspect, and you'll need to find a way to convince people to give you information.
Gameplay is approximately 35 - 45 minutes if you ONLY do the main objective. Otherwise, depending on how many npcs you interact with, playthrough could be between 1 hour and 1 /2 hours.
Features:
No random battles - nope. Not even one. Any fights you get into will be seen a mile away.
Skill Usage - whether a skill is successful is based entirely on the character's stats. Can't persuade someone to help you? Raise that Personality stat with a drink.
Interrogation - Hey, did that person say something useful? Better drill them on it if you want more context.
A notebook - Want more in-depth knowledge for the evidence you find, or for what certain people will tell you? Check your handy notebook in the Key Items tab!
Corruption! - Depending on your choices, you'll be neither a good nor a bad guy. Just remember: You're a cop, and in this game, you're above the law (mainly because no one else can enforce it on you)!

Honestly, there were some issues, but this was a treat to play
Thank you for making a VOD of this! I knew there could be things cropping up even after the playtesters had their way with it (like a certain battle option not working, and I even know why it didn't work now, looking back on it), but I'm really glad you liked it. I loved making this for the jam. I haven't gotten around to making a patch for it, but this reminded me that I need to.
